The Heart Hospital at HCA Houston Clear Lake

It started off great. 2nd floor is great. 3rd floor good. All other floors forget it especially my father’s most recent stay on the 4th floor. He has dementia, 75, type 1 diabetic. His chart says he needs assistance eating. Nobody hardly helped him. I constantly went up at dinner time just so I know he was fed something at least once a day. I left a protein shake with him one night before I left in a certain spot on his tray and it was still in the same exact spot where I left it 48 hours later. He can’t really use his hands however they were giving him large cuts of meat and sides. Water bottles he couldn’t open. Yesterday his breakfast and lunch tray were in his room untouched and for him unable to reach even if he was able. The nurse tried to tell me she tried to feed him.

Cynthia in the surgery department is so unprofessional, no compassion, and has a very slick mouth. If you’re looking for patient care I 0/10 recommend her and will also be complaining with patient advocate because there is really no room for someone like her when patients are at their most vulnerable. At her age you would think she would know better.

Well-organized hospital with a clean and inviting environment. The atmosphere was peaceful and not overly crowded. The staff demonstrated professionalism and provided excellent service.

Was great in the start then after surgery things went downhill nurses on the third floor were very unattended. They stated they would put a phone in my fathers room and I asked many times for a phone number to the room and nurses told me they can give me some type of updates about him and never received one , then once for discharge the worst patient experience ever I work in healthcare and patient experience is VERY IMPORTANT especially after a stressful surgery and having these nurses or “transportation nurses give attitude no empathy sets on more stress to the environment to my father . After I simply ask for assistance to put on a vest for my father . The nurses Joseph and Felisha are the ones who added on the stress while being discharge . Again I understand we all get frustrated but

💚LORMA night nurse in heart tower was BEST nurse ever!! Always on time with medicine rounds even when extremely busy with discharges and admitted patients. She is kind empathetic and professional at her job! LORMA deserves a raise!!🙌🙏🙌 (Only a couple nurses deserved one star😢) Most techs were friendly and professional and doctors were awesome so overall was a good review 👌
