The Gardens at Monroe Healthcare and Rehabilitation

This place may not look like much but they are excellent! The PT is great & understands where the patient is in terms of working on the next step. They are kind & got my 90 yr old mother back to walking after hip surgery in a matter of weeks! But I really want to highlight the nursing staff/aides that take care of the patients while they are there. They are most excellent! My mom did not like being there (it's boring when you can't really do anything) but the staff was so kind, gentle, professional & really made her time there bearable. I don't know all of their names but the RNs Blondie & Shannon were top notch. They were able to deal with my mom kindly when she kept getting up when she wasn't supposed to (she'd forget). Can’t say enough good things about entire facility and staff. Nursing care is excellent- aides respond quickly when patient calls - food is good - rehab is very good - communication with doctor and social worker is very good. In short we’re very very satisfied and glad we chose Gardens at Monroe.

My Dad was a patient at the Gardens back in January of 2025 and the staff were so amazing and took stellar care of my Dad. He was discharged to home and has had some off and on Medical issues since then. Last month Dad again wound up in the hospital for a two week stay. He was in bed at the hospital the entire time and wound up with a bed sore and multiple medical complications. When he was going to be released the team shared that he would need SAR again. Without any hesitancy dad and all of us once again reached out to the Gardens. When he was discharged from the Hospital this time he was at the Gardens for less then 24 hours. Since the Renovations within the Gardens, it seems that everyone enjoys it. The staff is fantastic to visitors as well as the patients. This is my first time visiting since two years ago and the changes they’ve made, the quality of staff combined with a clean new look, has been beneficial for everyone.

My husband and I along with our family and friends have all been very impressed with our choice to Rehab at the Gardens at Monroe! My husband went through 2 months of hospital life before beginning to feel like a human being here. Everyone in each capacity have been professional, helpful, warm and encouraging! From Management to nurses and therapists as well as support staff on all levels have performed in an outstanding way. We are very grateful to all of them!
