The Christ Hospital Lab Draw Site & Pre-Surgery Testing

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! The LAZIEST people work here and DO NOT have any sense of caring or patient needs. They literally just walk around in the area where they are completely visible through glass doors and try to look busy carrying papers while people are waiting to be seen. I watched one woman walk around for 10 minutes, trying to look busy and then suddenly picked up her lunch bag and walked out. Obviously trying to just kill time until her lunch break instead of seeing patients. We were first in line and waited for over 20 minutes to be seen for lab work. This is completely unacceptable and utterly ridiculous. This wasn’t a one time event, This happens every time I come to this particular lab and it’s the same three lazy employees! Waited nearly an hour just to give a urine sample. Check in process was atrocious, had people writing their names on a clipboard for both the lab and the imaging center and calling people up one at a time simply to check in. It was so slow the lab technician was faster than the check in person. They have two kiosks for self-check in and neither worked though a staff member claimed they were just installed

Waiting room full- no one called back for a time, then 2 patients called back separately during a 40 minute time frame. When those 2 patients reemerged, no other patients called back. I left without getting blood drawn.

This location has always provided pleasant service, in my experience. I have used the laboratory services on several occasions, usually around 8 am. There is rarely a wait for check-in, and I have waited 10 minutes at most for the blood draw. The staff is efficient and courteous. Parking is more than adequate.

I’m a nurse and this location normally has a very good and efficient lab. Not today. I waited for 40 minutes (and had an appointment) while the phlebotomist ate her lunch and talked on the phone. She said she didn’t see my paperwork, which was turned in 10 minutes before appointment. She was not kind and I left there upset because all I could think of was how rude she was and how no patient should be treated that way.
