The Brixton at Horseshoe Bay

My mom has been living at the Brixton at Horseshoe Bay for 2.5 years and it has been a great experience. We are so happy with, and grateful, for the wonderful care provided by her nurses, nurse aides, administrators, therapists, nutritionist...everyone on the staff! Mom has stayed at several other facilities in the past, and The Brixton at Horseshoe Bay is hands down the best!! They go all out for holidays, can provide safe transportation to appointments, and feed her plenty good. The facility is modern yet still cozy, light, bright, clean, and just has a happy and healthy vibe to it, especially compared to most of the skilled nursing and long term care facilities we have seen. Her room is large, with a big picture window, and a nice large private bathroom with a roll in shower. The Admin

My grandpa has been at the Brixton 3 different times after being in the hospital for lung issues. The staff was great and friendly from the nursing staff, housekeepers, kitchen, and administration; every-one cared about us and my grandpa. Beautiful facility and the showers are right in each room. There's no central bathing area that people have to go to in order to bathe. That was huge for his dignity!

My mother has been at the Brixton (10/25) for a short stay, and her care has been very good. Staff is kind and caring, and prompt to answer her call light, and the food is way above average. I am so impressed with the facility itself- it’s super clean, bright and open, the rooms are large and there are showers in the rooms, instead of having a common shower area. The most noticeable aspect there is the polite, kind and patient way everyone is treated. From administration, nursing and dietary- everyone takes the time to listen and help. I’ve really appreciated the care my mother has received, and so has she.

The Brixton is a wonderful place. The atmosphere is clean and bright, modern and welcoming. My 98-year-old father stayed there and the care was top notch. The staff were very competent, friendly, and helpful. They gave my dad loving attention and saw to all his needs. I learned from them. Over the last decade, I have experienced about a ten skilled nursing/rehab facilities, and I know what good looks like. The Brixton is truly outstanding.

My husband had an extended stay to rehabilitate from surgery complications. The care and work that the staff put in were amazing. Harry has been in many rehab facilities and the Brixton is right up there with the best. It is also very close to home. The CNA's were amazing and caring and always uplifting. Natalie figured out a complicated medication tangle and the PT staff got Harry back on his feet.
