I couldn’t do cat/cow in yoga. My back had hurt for months. PJ gave me stretches/ practical advice and validation that helped me heal. She is so strong too. She helped me with foot pain from a backpacking trip and I will be forever grateful.

I saw PJ for pain in my knees. Prior to working with her, I had been to another physical therapist and tried several other treatments for my knees with little success. PJ's approach of looking at the body as a structural system rather than just focusing on my knees made all the difference. I've had substantial pain relief and increased strength. Simply put, Sierra Rocks! I've been dealing with back, hip and knee pain for years. It eventually became unbearable. I tried 3 different chiropractors before I found Sierra at The Body Mechanic and without a doubt it was the best thing that happened to me. She was the only one to identify the cause of my condition. Each session she would focus on the source of my limitation, reduced the pain and increased mobility. After 6 weeks of therapy I am pain free, can tie my shoes normally for the first time in years, and heading on a surf trip.

After just one appointment with PJ, I was able to take a full breath for the first time in years. I had so many questions and was (quite frankly) overwhelmed with where to start after a couple of car accidents that left my body feeling beat up and never fully recovered. PJ has such a fluid way of listening to the body and figuring out exactly where to start and what needs support. I am so thankful to have found her and can't wait to go back!

PJ has made a huge difference in my gait, balance, and confidence after I healed from my lower leg injuries. I had been told that my condition was about as good as it could get, but working with PJ has brought me a great deal more improvement! Highly recommend!
