Terry Newell, Psy.D.

I went to this therapist Terry Newell during a time of intense crisis, and I was new to seeking talk therapy. In my opinion, I felt victim-blamed and like they were rushing me through the process of healing and discovery. Now that I know more, I can see that many steps were skipped. What I needed was a more empathetic response in that moment, at the beginning. I am grateful that I didn't give up on therapy as a whole after that experience.

I highly recommend Terry for the treatment of eating disorders and Trauma. I trained with her in graduate school and know her to be a caring, compassionate, and empathic provider and person. I would not hesitate to refer to her.
