I think they tried their best considering how busy they were but I was misdiagnosed as having pink eye, (3rd doctor I'd spoken to after Primary & Urgent Care all saying pink eye). All they needed to do was swab and do a culture and it would have shown I had a rare and obscure eye infection which can only be caught with international travel. I had explained I'd traveled internationally to complete disregard and instead given allergy medication. While they recommended I see an optomologist, which I did do, they played no part in helping me. They just put in the notes that I should see one. Regardless, I fortunately found a place that diagnosed me correctly and thank God I did because they said a few more days, I would have had permanent vision loss.
During my ER visit on the night shift, I had an interaction with an LVN ( Savannah on night shift ) that was very disappointing. The nurse was dismissive and spoke with visible frustration, repeatedly commenting on how busy the department was and how much she disliked her job. This made an already stressful medical situation feel worse and left me feeling like a burden for asking questions or advocating for my medical needs. I understand the ER is extremely demanding, but professionalism and compassion are still essential, especially when patients are in pain and vulnerable. I hope this feedback is used for staff coaching and improvement.
Extremely extremely extremely rude nurses, most of them have an attitude problem and talk to you like you’re a dumbass 3 year old. They have never once taken anything I’ve said seriously. This one time I went in it took them 3 and a half hours to give me some Tylenol, even though that’s not what I needed. At that same visit, an elderly gentleman came after me with a broken rib and they paid him zero attention. Another lady kept screaming & yelling & guess what, they paid zero attention to her as well. My advice, avoid this hospital like the plague.
The ER was horrible. We were treated in a room and then put in a chair outside the room next to all of the other sick people. Apparently they use one room for everyone and then place them out in the hallway instead of putting people in their own private beds/rooms. There was no privacy at all in the chairs. We were there with an injury but had to sit with everyone else with contagious illnesses. Everyone next to us in our row of chairs had barf bags and looked very ill. We were staring at the nurses while we sat in these chairs for hours waiting for test results and then eventually discharged. Also while we were sitting in the row chairs we watch the nurses as they made fun of a patient that was brought in by an ambulance who clearly had dementia or some other mental illness. It was heartb
I came to this ER with symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure, including lethargy, lightheadedness, difficulty breathing, nausea, and a headache. While the actual medical care I received was appropriate, my overall experience was frustrating due to poor initial triage, dismissive attitudes, and hostage-like delays in discharge. Upon arrival, I was not immediately assessed or even asked what was wrong. Instead, I was told to sit and wait, despite experiencing symptoms that could have led to unconsciousness. It took 30 minutes to get into an ER room and another 15-20 minutes before I was seen by a doctor—a concerning delay for a potentially life-threatening condition. Once I was in a room, I received oxygen therapy, an EKG, X-rays, and a CT scan. However, the physician I saw was patronizing a
