I’ve been admitted several times to TGH for various reasons and surgeries. My last time was just a few days ago. There will always be some issues, but had to give 5 stars solely for the fact that the hospital at home program and team are amazing! At the hospital itself, the nurses and techs were great. Communication could have been a bit better, and had a screamer next to me for 2 nights, but not much you can do about the last one. On my 3rd day I was offered hospital at home after a procedure and I jumped on it. The chance to be treated at home was amazing. It was done quickly, didn’t have to wait for discharge paperwork, and was on the way home shortly after getting out of recovery. Matteo, Tuan and Jen with the Hospital at Home team are great. Made me feel very comfortable, they expla

I wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation for Tampa General Hospital and its incredible staff. If you ever find yourself outside the employee entrances during a shift change, you’ll witness a truly remarkable sight—waves of dedicated employees from every department coming and going, working in harmony much like an industrious colony of ants, each playing a vital role in keeping things running smoothly. It’s a powerful reminder of the collective effort that goes into caring for patients every single day. After reading through some reviews, I was surprised by comments about aspects like food, bathrooms, or wait times. While everyone hopes for comfort and convenience, it’s important to keep in mind the real reason we’re there: our health and well-being. The staff at Tampa General Hos

My daughter had a major surgery here, and everyone who cared for her was wonderful. The food sent to her room was not great, but the food we were able to get in the cafeteria was really good (very odd, I know, since they're coming from the same place). The cafeteria food was mostly affordable, as well. The surgeons in her pre-op appointments (Dr. Ross Everett and Dr. Brielle Weinstein) were absolutely fantastic both before, during, and after surgery. As were their resident doctors that they were training. You can tell they really care, both at a human level and a medical excellence level. They stayed on top of her pain during post-op and physical therapy visited to make sure she could walk. Nurses were compassionate and kind. The only challenge we had was that my daughter has difficult v

I recommend the TGH pediatric ER. We took our daughter here on October 2, 2025, referred by her pediatrician due to an allergic reaction to antibiotics, where she had a severe hive. After being in 2 of the largest children's hospitals in the area 4 times, twice each, they never performed any tests or other procedures. They gave her Benadryl and sent her home. Out of the 4 times, they only gave her steroids once, 1 dose of steroids per mouth, and sent her home. However, at no time during any previous visit to the children's hospital ERs were any tests performed on her, even though they observed that she wasn't improving. Here at TGH pediatric ER, of all the three children's ERs we visited in the past couple of days, this is the only one that performed various tests and admitted her to monit

For the love of God PLEASE HIRE MORE PHONE OPERATORS. The surgeons and a couple nurses are the only good thing about this place. NOBODY EVER answers the phone after you get transferred & placed on hold or at least 25 minutes. They’ll give you numbers to contact that do not work. Make sure you do your best to call & verify your appointment time because you can and will be forgotten about then called at the crack of dawn with them asking where you are because they will not give you a procedure date until the day before. Also make sure you record every single phone call and take down names because even if someone DOES call you and give you a future date, they’ll tell you that you made that date and that information up & they never called trying to cover up that somehow someone didnt push SAVE
