Tampa Bay Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Robert Chuong MD DMD was my surgeon on June of 2025. I did a lot of research between my DMD options and I choose Dr. Chuong because of his incredible schooling history. I was considered a complicated case for many reasons from multiple dentist, involving my wisdom teeth. All four wisdom needed to go. The real fear set in. This would be my first real legit surgery. The scalpel is a no go for me. Four years prior I had all of my top teeth removed in one sitting. The idea of grab and pull felt fearless to me. Fast-forward - Top denture was a great success, however until my impacted wisdom teeth started growing in. I was warned they may drop in a few years later. This place SERIOUSLY needs to re-evaluate their front desk receptionists. Had a great experience with the blonde lady but the other one, Esmeralda or whatever, HORRIBLE ATTITUDE. Over the phone, in person. I came in after being ejected from a vehicle in an accident hoping to get my face looked at after a stressful 5 days and am met with a nasty, nasty attitude. Then a girl comes in also complaining about the woman’s attitude, the woman tries to gaslight her. As a doctor or owner of a medical practice, why would you want miserable disgusting people working at the front desk as patients first impression. Disgusting how people think they can get away with treating others like garbage. Do better.

EXTREMELY rude front off associate. I called in after seeing he was accepting new patients on the insurance website and the front desk associates were very rude. It seems like they are annoyed by people calling in looking to become patients. It's not the patients fault that your doctor is listed incorrectly on the insurance site.

Esmeralda was the best receptionist I have ever met. She explained the process and made us very calm and relaxed! Thank you Esmeralda!

Dr. Chuong is a great Dr. He's not very chatty and doesn't get personal but maybe that's what makes him great at his job. I'm grateful to have seen him and I appreciate his honesty and his ability to stay on task. The staff is wonderful! Everyone is very patient with me, I have a tendency to get chatty when I get anxious and they were all very sweet. I'm actually excited for my oral surgery since I'm having it with Dr. Chuong and his staff. I highly recommend!!!
