I came here some years ago when I was trying to find a new PCP. I had to fill out a form for new patients regarding medial history, & a section about my home if it had fire alarms installed, etc. The doctor & her medical assistant kept asking me why I didn’t have a fire alarm in my home. They were more concerned about that than my medical history & my check up. Like ok I’m sorry I don’t live in a typical home where there isn’t one?? In all my 27 years of living in the same home we just genuinely never thought to put one in but she was so persistent & kept asking why I didn’t have one. I understand you can be concerned & it made me think about getting one in, but you’re not the fire department lady. Dr. Fort is knowledgeable and caring. When my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer I took her to Dr. Fort. She was calm, loving and honest. Dr. Fort suggested fortifying foods and drinks my mom could try to obtain more nutrients. The info was helpful. We left feeling encouraged because of Dr. Fort’s compassion and ability to give hope.

Dr. Fortt and her staff are selfless (also funny) and have continued to give sound guidance for my health. Given the state of their profession today, receiving sound advice without being overbearing with medication is refreshing. Her guidance has been straight forward and her broad knowledge is well respected. I've been a patient for a couple of years since moving to Stamford and I hope to continue with her practice.
