Susan Cheng

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Susan Cheng at Arroyo Oaks Medical Associates in Thousand Oaks. I was very blessed to find her through my insurance's online portal. I had such a wonderful experience and I am so incredibly relieved to have found my new primary care provider. To begin with, the process of scheduling an appointment was incredibly easy and patient friendly. The office is located near Los Robles Hospital in a very convenient location. It is a large practice with a busy office, but my experience was very streamlined and I was taken great care of from the check in process through the end of my appointment. The medical assistant was very kind and gathered my history etc. I then had a medical resident come speak with me so she was able to get an even more detailed history.

Dr Susan is a smart and great family Dr who listen carefully and spends the necessary time to help her patients. Dr Susan’s referral’s for specialists when needed shows her utmost concern for her patients well being

Dr. Cheng is alright, however her assistant Laura lacks communication skills and doesn’t get things done unless badgered. It took a week for her to send in my medication request form and she made a mistake on the form and uses the excuse of being very busy. This makes things really difficult so I would not recommend going here.

Dr Cheng is great. She takes the time to explain everything and gets to know you. Great bedside manner. Highly recommended.
