Sunshine Pediatrics-Central Fl

Horrible doctor’s office. More transactional than helpful. I understand a business runs on money, but at the expense of a newborn child’s health & wellness? My daughter has active insurance but they refused to see her because I don’t have $200 to give them in hopes of an empty “refund” promise they say will happen once’s the insurance pays. My thing is why can’t you bill me the same way you bill an insurance company? Either way you wouldn’t be paid right at this moment. They refused to see my 6 day old child. Ridiculous

We are new to the area. We actually live in Oviedo and drove 30 min to come to our NEW patient appointment. I have never written a review as i usually just move on but this was a terrible first impression. We were still waiting 45 min after our appt time trying to entertain a 3 year old. We finally walked out at an hour. I missed time from work just to never see a doctor. The front staff was so terrible and could careless. I will say the lady that took us to the room was sweet. Dont recommend as a new patient.

It hurts that Sunshine Pediatrics is not ranked higher on Google. Dr. Rich has seen my son (now 17) since infancy and he has been nothing short of outstanding! Dr. Rich is knowledge, attentive, and laid back and approachable--just what we needed. We don't live anywhere close to Maitland, but changing to a closer doctor was out of the question for us. I'm so glad Dr. Rich was my son's primary care physician; and I would choose him, again.

He knew immediately what was wrong with my 4 week old and always educates us on diagnoses, causes, and treatments! Plus Dr. Rich is incredibly kind and has excellent bedside manner for worried parents. So thankful we were recommended to go to him! All his patients sing his praises and its easy to see why.

I wouldn’t recommend this pediatrics office at all. I’ve been a loyal patient even when there service was so bad and losing so much patients. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt but they are not helpful at all. I’ve never have asked for anything and the one time I did , they couldn’t fit in my daughter all. It’s just not worth the hassel you have to go through to see Dr.Richards. So disappointing.
