At Kaiser, the doctor instructs you to follow up in certain ways, you set the appointments yourself, then they do the prep work so that the appointment goes smoothly (coordinating with the lab etc). With Dr Summer, I felt my care would easily have been compromised if I had not been diligent about following up on my care and received kind help from other health professionals to get her to do her side of the follow-up. I only saw her for a short time before I switched, but Dr Summer never prepared for an appointment with me. When we met, she 2-3 separate times blamed someone else for the lack of prep or follow up that was her responsibility—first her own team and then the extremely sweet travel nurse who had actually direct-messaged Dr Summer to do something she should have done earlier for
