Straub Benioff Medical Center – Physical and Rehabilitation Therapy

I needed another CT scan, and had been advised to ask for a wheelchair at valet parking. A very helpful attendant named Nicholas cut through the delays and confusion by identifying me and pulling a wheelchair up to the car. He was so friendly! He pushed me to the X-ray check-in counter, waited for confirmation, and then kindly parked me right by the CT scan door. The scan was fast and efficient, and I was finished just as my friend reached the waiting room. Being in severe pain, I appreciated the speed and courtesy of everyone involved.

this is my second time I’ve tried to use straub physical therapy department for muscle and joint pain and it was again a complete waste of time. The provider barely looked at me. He didn’t examine my body. He just typed and treated the computer. He gave me three exercises and then dismissed me. What a waste of time. I explained to him that trigger point release is the best thing to relieve my pain and he said we’re not trying to relieve your pain. We’re trying to restore your function. who wants to function if they have to survive in pain? . The whole mission of the straub Physical Therapy department is a farce. They are useless and a waste of time and I would not bother with them

Regrettably, I spent a few hours here in the ER on a vacation. Quickly triaged, I spent this time in a quiet and 12 bed ER ward. Throughout this time I listened endlessly to the more kind and generous humans taking care of all types of patients. I left feeling better about humanity on the whole and received excellent treatment. Do not hesitate to come here on vacation if you need an ER.

This review is for Straub Hawaii Kai Physical Therapy. I absolutely love the care Abe Shimoda provided me with while I was in the physical therapy part of my treatment plan. I received a referral to see Abe two times prior to being approved for further courses of action. He ended up being the perfect match for me as we have the same personality and shared interests. I didn’t like prior experiences with physical therapy but Abe changed that experience for me. He did a very thorough evaluation and took the time to listen to my concerns so that he would be better able to meet my needs. He is a very good teacher and demonstrated and explained the exercises I’d be doing at home. Very good communication via my chart as well. I’m so thankful for Straub for having people like Abe. I could not have
