Steven A. Madreperla, MD, PhD

Although it was quite some time ago, I still wanted to post a review about Dr. Madreperla. He is a wonderful doctor who took great care of my young daughter. I made an appointment with him because he specializes in diseases of the eye, and unfortunately, Retinitis Pigmentosa runs in my family. My Grandmother suffered from it and eventually was legally blind because of it. Even though this disease skipped my generation, I was still very worried about the future of my daughter's eyesight. Dr. Madreperla is a wonderful Ophthalmologist who put me more at ease by explaining everything to me, and by giving my daughter a thorough eye examination and testing. So if you're in need of a specialist, I highly recommend Dr. Steven Madreperla!!!

HELLO I been seen by doctor Paul hana for the past almost 4 years .giving me shots in my eye after he left i was seen by David Y.Kim MD . who inject me without drugs to numb my eye . after i realized i had a headache. then they deside to scan my eye , find out its an infection : Then 2nd doctor did the sane as the first , no drugs to numb my eye . PS . i have photo of my eye . if needed. THANKS

All staff from reception to technicians were professional and friendly. Dr Madreperla as always was thorough, professional and friendly. He explained the diagnosis clearly and what he was best course of action and if necessary what plan B would be. After only two days plan A appears to be working. Very pleased with retina associates and Dr Madreperla specifically.

Dr. Madreperla performed my eye surgery in Dec 2024 to remove a mole in my right eye. There aren't that many doctors in NJ that feel comfortable and can do this type of surgery. I was terrified and contemplated not going through with it. But I am so glad I did. Everything went smoothly and the eye has fully healed. Dr Madreperla is very thorough and doesn't rush while doing his evaluation. He is patient and has a calming nature about him.

Very friendly staff and great service. The doctor was unreal first time I didn't get rushed out of the door. He explained everything he was doing and what he was looking for in my eyes. He even spent some time talking to me about hobbies. I would highly recommend this office and this docotor, five stars is an injustice to this organization at minimal their a ten.
