Sterling Care Bel Air

My concern is the safety of certain patients. Because there are no bed railings, that is a concern for me. The staff is awesome. I am sure they are stretched to the limit. But they do offer a solution of sitting the patient in the hall where they can keep an eye on that particular patient. Most rehab places smell pissy but this facility does not. However, I have not seen anyone clean the bathrooms. This is a concern.

I wish there was an option for no stars, but unfortunately I have to give it one. If you have a loved one with dementia or cannot speak for themselves, this is not the place for them. My father laid in soiled diapers for hours, ignored and kept out in the hall so they could watch him because they do not have bed alarms. My dad was there for a month for “rehab”. The last two weeks he was there I had to hire private care to make sure he was being changed, fed and taken care of. I went in there one morning and he was completely unresponsive, they told me he was fine. I made them call an ambulance and there he was found to have pneumonia and severely dehydrated. He passed away on Wednesday exactly a month from being taken to the hospital from this horrible facility. I often think of h

Visibly it's changed; looks refreshed with new floors, painted walls, however, some of the staff are real snots! I asked for help as I was trying to find a room & her looks & mannerism was like what do you want! There were a group of ladies at the station but they acted like you were interfering with their time of chatting. I wish I had gotten that particular ladies name. She indeed was rude! The place is definitely busy & I wonder if during the renovation the hallway size was cut down as it can be real tight just walking in there. The parking is horrible & not enough handicap spaces. It puzzles me why as long as this building has been here they didn't add on a floor above to make it easier for everyone. The room my friend is in is tight with no extra chair to sit down on. Sadly we have family who has been determined to need help BUT Sterling Care has turned out to be the best place possible in all honesty. The staff truly cares and our aunt is receiving truly wonderful care. The facility is clean and everyone there is aware of and accommodates patient needs in such a caring way.
