Stephen Lazarou, MD - Reproductive Urology & Men's Health

To be clear, i never met Dr. Lazarou, but his front end staff is clueless. I call to try and make an appointment and they say they will call me back to set it up... but never do.. twice. I fill out the appointment request form on the website... no repose. I finally push hard enough to get an appointment... only to have them call me a week later to say that the doc only does fertility and that he will not see me. Don't wast your time as did I.

Dr. Lazarou instantly brought a sense of calm and immense amount of knowledge to the appointment. He was able to answer all of our questions with full confidence and I felt assured even before the appointment was over that the procedure and everything leading up to it would be dealt with the highest degree of professionalism and expertise.

It was just great. Zero complaints about the vasectomy process and all of the staff were wonderful. Took all of 2 hours between the two appointments. Highly recommend.

Referred to this physician to specifically review test results, which were readily available. The gatekeeping admins insisted I initially meet with the physician’s support staff, which I rejected after explaining my referral is to see the physician for his clinical expertise. The receptionist begrudgingly accepted but her tone was hostile. I understand offices have policies but when my referral is to see a physician, I don’t appreciate jumping through internal obstacles before meeting the physician, especially when my reasoning is straight forward. The next day I cancelled my placeholder appt with this office after I found a urologist at Lahey with more common-sense policies.

Never actually met the doctor. Spent 6 hours driving back and forth 3 times for about 30 mins of talking and testing. Seems like this office is just a feeder for IVF clinics.
