Having terrible breathing pressure around my stomach area, he asked what did I want him to do? I can’t breathe well Doctor Beasley. He never turn and looked at me. Kept typing on his typewriter asking questions. No personal concern or just sat there. Again asking me, “what do you want me to do?” Huh?🤔

I went to his office and did not feel seen or heard. It is a struggle as a young African American female for your medical concerns to be taken seriously. I did not feel a sense of understanding or compassion from the MD. He was very short. After leaving that visit, I did not feel safe at all. I have been dealing with this issue for years and it has taken my quality of life away. I don't get rest anymore. So, when you come to the doctor, you want to feel as though you at least will be SEEN and understood. You want to know that the doctor is willing to help you and be diligent. This takes being able to LISTEN so you can truly understand what the patient is going through instead of drawing fast conclusions. I have been dealing with gastrointestinal problems for months, with no luck working with doctors from Emory!! I came to Dr. Beasley and he agreed to all the tests I suggested, and gave me advice for relief, and scheduled a procedure. He was very thorough, and his staff is very nice! I had as good an experience as possible when feeling sick!
