Stamford Health Psychiatry

I went to Stamford Hospital for a pulmonology appointment. I gave my insurance and paid my copay, they then told me to have a chest X-ray before my appointment. I had not yet met with a doctor and they made no mention of additional charges beyond the co-pay. 3 weeks later I get two separate bills from two separate Stamford Health businesses, one for over $400. I made calls to both and received no explanation or help from the billing departments, both of whom referred me to the doctor's office. After being told that I need to speak to billing I explained the situation. The "gentleman" I spoke to said he would ask his supervisor. Then without coming back on the line he transferred me back to billing so I could hold for another half hour. If you can get medical treatment anywhere else

I wonder how many of Stamford's residents realize how fortunate we are that we have such a wonderful health system within 25 minutes from anywhere in this city. The emphasis is clearly on the patient. Places are bright and cheery contributing to the convalescence of every patient and to the service of outpatients. Receptionists and assistant are helpful and understanding. I have had first-hand experience with the hospital in the last five years and I am impressed with the frictionless experiences of which I was the subject. It requires a great deal of capital to run a well-equipped, well-staffed, medically-competent, slick hospital where the objective is to get the patient well, in short order and back into the world of the healthy. I don't know from where all the funds come or wheth

I have been trying to get an appointment for over two months! The people at the front desk seem confused about the process of scheduling an appointment. They either don’t have the right information, or promise to call back multiple times. I have never received a call back from them, I always have to be the one to reach back out. Plus, they leave you in hold for longggg periods of time, and at the end they don’t have a final answer. HUGE WASTE OF TIME. They are rude and fully incompetent.

***DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE - THE OFFICE DOES NOT CARE IF YOU CALLED OR LEFT MESSAGES. THEY BLATANTLY LIE.** They have the WORST people running this office. I am no longer seeing my treating physician because of this office.

Very bad experience, you go to hospital because you are sick but you end up dealing with indifferent admin employees on the exorbitant billing.
