St. Mary Medical Center

Today I did visit to st Mary hospital, by the way I did visit so many times over the year as I live near by but today thought to write the review to justice good hospital in this area. I went to visit one of my relatives who are in cardiovascular unit ok second floor. So after my visit it was so impressive so couldn’t able to stop my self to write this review. Check in process at reception to see patient is easy process as you show your ID and get visitor badge, all rooms and lobby including elevator are in good shape, nice and clean as you expected as in good Hospital, Staff and Dr’s are friendly and helpful if you need any help or get lost in hospital. Cafeteria also equipped with healthy bite for the visitors My Favorite “Starbucks” coffee in reasonable price. Kudos to Hospital manage

ZERO stars. Worst hospital, avoid this hospital at all costs. My dad was brought via ambulance, waited hours in ER to be seen for his head wound. My father had Alzhemiers and went from being able to walk, talk, and eat to not being able to eat or move and noncommunicative after two days at this hospital. He passed away one week later. The nurses were almost nonexistent or abusive to my father. It was disgusting and smelled horrible the minute we walked onto the second floor where they were keeping my father. Keep all elderly parents away from this hospital. The nurses do not know how to take care of dementia patients. It was upsetting and awful to watch. My father was brought to St. Mary’s Medical Center with a very low heart rate and high blood pressure, and from the moment we arrived, the care was outstanding. The ER nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing. They were professional, attentive, and reassuring during a stressful time. He was admitted later that day to the PCU, where the excellent care continued. His doctors, Dr. Leshner and Dr. Bhatti, were phenomenal. They were knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to explain everything clearly. His nurses, Chris and Tom, went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. In 2023 my father had a procedure to get his kidney stones removed. The doctors did not give him antibiotics for afterwards, he ended up getting sepsis. It was severe, and awful to be a 15 year old seeing their dad sick like that. He was in the hospital for probably a month, and genuinely could’ve died. The staff clearly does not clean properly, if they did their job correctly and gave him antibiotics he wouldn’t have been in that situation. This is a warning for all of the children with parents who go to St. Mary’s, my dad was lucky, someone else’s won’t be. Please don’t take someone you love here, or at the very least advocate for them to do their job properly!!!

I had a surgery today in the outpatient center of the building. The nurses and other staff were extremely kind and patient and made the whole experience very comforting. Highly recommend this outpatient center. A big shout out to nurses Bri and Alva. And the anesthesia team. Thank you for making the experience very positive
