St. Joseph Manor

My auntie is living at SJ's, the second facility we have used. Nurses and aids are caring and efficient. The second floor, as I have observed, is clean. Given I am with my aunty 4-5 days per week, including for meals, the food menu feels a bit repetitive, but this has a lot to do with my auntie's eating restrictions and capabilities. Mostly, the food is prepared well and tasty. The aids and kitchen staff are friendly and accommodating, no matter my constant requests. My auntie does not take part in social or recreational activities, but the staff is understanding of her wishes and finds other ways to make her smile and feel comfortable. Whenever auntie has any kind of discomfort or illness, the nurses provide care promptly. The spiritual support at St. Joseph's is excellent. Auntie receive

Seriously less than five stars but not even four is mind blowing to me. This place is a hidden gem when it comes to senior citizens. Everything here from the exterior to the interior is worthy of praise. The staff is remarkably responsive and compassionate. My family member is staying here. The first time I came I was welcomed in the most warmest way by everyone including the friendly residents. Everyone here is always smiling and warm. I’m also told the menu is very good although I have not had any food. Not alot of amenities here in contrast to other modern day places like this. However the koi pond in the garden adds a really nice touch.

I had a very positive experience when my 91 year-old mother was admitted for end of life care. The staff made sure my mother was comfortable and free of pain at all times, as well as helping me cope with my own well being.

My father received horrible care! Then blamed him for his behavior. Screamed at my stepmother and called security on her. Do not send your loved ones here!!

Mom is in St Joe's, very understaffed but staff does exceptional. Little upset that they do not have a band-aid for a cut on mom's arm. UNBELIEVABLE!!
