St. John Oral Surgery and Dental Implants

I was recommended St. John oral surgery by my dentist. Although I’ve gone elsewhere in my past. When my dentist said she sent her parents there made me feel better. Plus it’s nice it is close to my home. If I could give 10 stars I would. It’s not often you can say you liked 100% of an office. Front staff was very nice all smiles. The dental staff was knowledgeable and comforting. Dr. Smythe was so nice and so comforting. Told me everything that was happening which helped a lot. Gives great shots. Fast and professional. I was checked on twice with phone calls once home. Having been in the medical field for over 25 yrs I can tell you this place is top notch. I will definitely be recommending them.

I would give 6/5 stars if I could! I had a lingual frenectomy aka my tongue tie corrected. I went in nervous, but it was actually a pleasant experience- from the beautiful office to the awesome team that ensures all your needs are met. Dr Smythe is very precise, efficient, and compassionate. Olivia was assisting with her and was also very knowledgeable and caring. They made sure the healing process has been only a mild discomfort, which is equally as important. The front desk was also very helpful! Dr Smythe is truly a master of her trade. As a dental professional myself I am going to make sure she is referred to for oral surgery needs!

I recently had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed and have never had anything wrong with my teeth previously, so I was very nervous. Dr. Emily Smythe and her team were GREAT!! I never even felt the IV go in for surgery, it was quick, and recovery has been a smooth process thanks to them. I highly recommend coming here for any dental reasons. Even the girls who work at the front desk are sweet and are very accommodating working with your schedule.

I will start with Super friendly staff! And its no secret to anyone who knows me, that I have horrible anxiety when it comes to dental work. Dr. Smythe was amazing. Not your typical stiff surgeon. She is professional but has a sense of humor and once I explained my anxiety she handled it like a pro. I was more than surprised at how well everything went. She even had me laughing. If I ever have to visit an oral surgeon again. And no offense, I'm hoping I don't. But if I do, I will not hesitate( as long as I did) to make the appointment with Dr. Emily Smythe.

Had my tooth extracted on January 8, 2026. The entire staff was great. From filling out the paperwork, to being taken back and having x-rays taking of the area to be worked on, to having the attendant tell me the procedure that would be taking place and the doctor coming in and reiterating and doing the surgery was just fantastic. The paperwork given to me after the surgery and the packet of information on what to do during recovery was great. They call the prescription in for medication to our pharmacy and I picked it up on the way home. Within two or three days everything was back to normal.
