St. Clair Hospital

I went to the ER. Was greeted upon entry. Sat in the waiting area for 5 minutes. Got triaged. X-ray taken. EKG performed. Blood draw by an experienced nurse who was also very kind to me. Sat in waiting room another 5 minutes then back to an exam room. My nurse Sarah was awesome! Dr. Litwa had excellent bedside manner and spent time with me to ensure I understood my options. Patty did my patient intake and she was hoot. Thanks again for such exceptional care.

Had the unfortunate experience of having to be in this place a lot this last year. All times the staff was amazing from emergency valet parking people, nurses, security guards, doctors and all in between. The ER has a nice separate area for kids, which is so good to see... beyond that the rest of the waiting room was as lovely (very clean, relatively relaxing environment for what it is, enough seating, charging stations for phones incase you have to wait, but I've never actually had to wait very long). The vending machine ate my $2 but that was the least of my problems at that point. This is going to sound dull... but I appreciate their lights in the waiting room. I took my wife to St. Clair Hospital for what was supposed to be a quick checkup after another clinic told us the wait would be about five hours. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hospital experiences we have ever had. My wife waited in the waiting room for about 3½ hours while there were only two or three other patients. When she politely asked multiple times when she might be seen, staff told her to keep waiting and, according to her, laughed at her. Once she was finally brought into a room, she waited another two hours before a doctor came in. The doctor did not let her fully explain her symptoms and quickly left, saying he would order a scan. After that, it took about another hour before a nurse checked on her. Throughout the visit, my wife felt disrespected and humiliated. Sh

“Dr.” Parker Cole Laughlin has to be one of the worst Emergency care physicians . His sarcasm to my pain and suffering was so rude . After all the explanations of the pain I was feeling and machine scans . Parker Laughlin Cole walks in the room with no care in the world and asks how I’m doing I said “not so good” , he rolls his eyes and says “why not so good “with an annoyed tone . I knew I should have video recorded him . His whole Demeanor , attitude was just Awful For PHYSICIAN that studied and gone to school for years for this . He should be ashamed And I hope he gets what he deserves stripped of his licenses. He should resign and continue his real passion “running marathons “ Cross Country . He truly looks happier there . “always be mindful how you treat ppl now days”

I wouldn’t send my dog here for medical treatment!! Thanks to the storm I had to send my loved one here after he suffered a siezure…. Not only has it been a week with no communication whatsoever, BUT now he has cdiff, he’s hallucinating with ZERO explanations (test came back normal) and on top of all this… they gave him oxycodone and Ativan for no reason at all even AFTER we told them he doesn’t need any of that! We don’t want him on any opioids PERIOD I thought I made that clear in the beginning only finding out they did it anyway. Other than regulating his blood pressure and blood sugars, he developed more issues here over the last three days with doctors not really knowing what to do.
