St. Charles Veterinary Hospital

Took my one year-old Yorkie puppy to Saint Charles animal Hospital because she had it in some of her bedding and was in eating or drinking. She spent the night at this hospital and everybody the vets and the techs treated her very well. She was put on IV therapy and seemed to bounce back a little bit I picked her up after 24 hours and she is now home eating and drinking and getting better by the hour. This hospital is phenomenal. I didn’t have all the funds to pay, but I had to do it for my puppy and I don’t regret it because they took very good care of her. I just wish they would have accepted her insurance so that I didn’t have to pay out-of-pocket

This was honestly the best vet experience I ever had. I was trying to get an appointment from my current vet (that my cats go to) for a puppy that we found who needed to be seen (but my vet didn't have an availability). The reviews made me hesitant but I did see some 5 star reviews as well so I just went for it. From the receptionists to the techs and the vet, everyone was extremely kind, loving, and professional. They listened to everything I had to say and broke everything down on paper to show you what you are expected to pay before you pay. It was very clean cut and I was seen quickly. They said since I was going through the emergency, it could be up to a 2 hr wait but I was able to be seen in 5 minutes. Truly if I could give 0 stars, that’s what it would be. They might not care at the clinic but here’s a warning ⚠️ My dog was spayed on 2/20. By 2/28, she was bleeding intermittently through a pinhole. I took her in and had to pay a $135 exam fee prior to her being seen. Sage is a Rottweiler and was afraid so she was deemed aggressive. She was muzzled and had a e cone on. As this is a veterinary hospital, you’d think they, as the experts, would handle business as the dog is secured. No, the doctor never saw my dog, not even a peek through the small window. I had willingly showed the tech videos from the day before and that’s what she showed the doctor. My first experience here was about a year ago with my dog. He had his first seizure in the middle of the night and I brought him to their care where they watched over him for a day. He was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. We were managing his condition with a specialist elsewhere, but a few months afterwards he had another episode and by the time I took him to the ER it was too late. It was devastating, but the staff were so kind and one of the staff members even mentioned that she remembered him coming in the first time. After 12 years unfortunately my dog was hit by a car and her body was paralyzed yesterday this was the only vet open near me it was 30 minutes away I’m glad we came here would definitely go again the staff was so understanding and compassionate the doctor was very understanding and compassionate too everybody spoke to my about pricing before doing anything the prices were very reasonable and there very professional and you can tell they love there job and love animals 10/10 would recommend and would come again here
