St. Augustine Animal Clinic

Have always recommended this vet clinic and have used them for the last 10years or so.. that all changed recently when my dog had an appt for annual shots. Because we have a blue heeler who can be a handful we were told we have to sedate prior to getting shots. Their method of sedation and then pin the dog down to do the exam only heightens the anxiety and causes the aggressive response. My biggest problem is that we spoke to the office yesterday who had us heavily sedate the dog the night before to get her shots.. 2 hrs before the appt they call to tell us they changed the policy on reactive dogs effective immediately and will no longer see our dog. The poor pup is now heavily sedated after multiple rounds of medication and they just dropped her as a patient for no reason.. they didn’t ev

Dr. Jack did a great job with my Chiweenie! He got her in quickly and took great care of her. Himself and his staff were so gentle and understanding. Will definitely be back!

Top notch vet experience! Dr. Schmidt and his staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. There is an incredibly familial feel to this place, which I appreciated. Also noteworthy is the efficacy with which they tended to and treated my fur baby. I was in and out in a timely manner and wasn’t met with any outrageous expenses. Will definitely be back here and would highly recommend this practice.

I was not from the area but my dog needed to get IV fluids every day. I went to them because of the reviews. Got to say they fell short. The love and care for my dog and other pets that were there was unbelievable. The staff was the best I seen in a while on customer service. If I am ever in the area. For sure I will be going back.
