SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital

I love this hospital. The staff is nice and understanding. They take you seriously, listen, and go above and beyond to figure out what’s going on. I took my kids here because another hospital told us my daughter was just fine when I knew she wasn’t. SSM took all the proper steps and did a chest scan when the other hospital didn’t. Come to find out she had walking pneumonia. They gave her a cough medicine to keep her comfortable. Something the other hospital refused to do. Now we come here every time.

Absolutely wonderful care from moment one in the ER to all staff in in-patient care. I did not meet a single unpleasant person there. Everyone from RN, CNA, PT, OT, Cleaning and Food Service staff was very kind, patient and helpful. Made my stay there very pleasant.

I used to like Waupun Memorial Hospital. Everyone i had contact with from triage to the security guard was always so friendly and seemed to go the extra mile. But today my opinion was changed. I will never go back there in fact I may change my hmo all together. A friend of mine has congestive heart failure and was taken there after I called 911. First question to my friend who was in a horrible amount of pain in his neck,ears arms and jaw. So much pain he couldn't move without screaming. How much alcohol did you drink today sir. A beer. The Dr said are sure thats all? Walked out. My friend asked for a blanket . A young lady came placed an iv port. He asked again for a blanket. A nurse came in with 3 or 4 syringes. Gave him all of them. He asked again. Maybe half hour later a lab tech came

This has always been my hospital and we came very close to losing it about 40 years ago. Today it is a wonderful hospital that has thrived within the SSM Health family. I delivered all 3 of my kids here, I have received urgent care services, as have my children. No complaints there. Most recently I was treated for a pulmonary embolism 5 years ago and was treated for breast cancer in 2023 & 2024. I had absolutely wonderful care from every single medical professional and I was kept in the loop and given options when possible. I have to confess that my dad owned a pharmacy for 25 years in Waupun and he was an active supporter of the hospital.

I am very happy with the staff at this hospital everyone was so helpful they listened to my concerns and they went above and beyond to help me.
