SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Jefferson City

I went into the ER yesterday wheeled in by my brother in extreme pain they got me back immediately and assessed my appendix needed to be removed in just a short amount of time I was in surgery and out before 3 pm. The nurses were so patient, understanding and personable. They got my pain managed very quickly after I was in the ER the surgeon Brandon I can't remember his last name was very personable him and the anesthesiologist made me feel very welcome and safe. No one made me feel judged or rushed. It was a very smooth experience

The Behavioral Health unit is SO professional and friendly. Not just the providers, but the front desk as well. I go here for both psychiatry and therapy. Both of my providers and highly professional and truly make me feel heard. I am a bit broke and can’t afford my copays right away, and they allow me to pay at a later date, which allows me to still take care of my mental health even when I’m broke. I live in Columbia and drive out 45 minutes here for how amazing their staff is

I have been dealing with their billing department for months. They are no help at all. Somehow my husband who has insurance was charged some claims as no insurance and self pay. He is going through cancer treatment and was also admitted into the hospital early in his diagnosis. I had no problem paying the bill in full, but wanted to be sure that everything was correct. They have sent things to collections, came now with magical bills from March that are self pay. I've paid the large bill that went to collections. When I call or message they are no help and try to make me feel like I'm incompetent. We have also been dealing with more treatment at Barnes Jewish and Wash U in St. Louis. We have a significantly higher bill with them. They have been more helpful and have double and tr

Worst experience ever. Sat in the waiting area for 4 hours. No wait times and front desk staff are horrible in the emergency room. Would not recommend. Edit: if you are able to get past the rude front desk staff and the wait.. Dr. Jiang was wonderful. Very attentive and gets right to the point. One of the best doctors I have had here in MO.

Had to switch insurance, which meant leaving an amazing doctor at Columbia Ortho Group. Unfortunately, my experience with this new physician has been terrible from the start. I’ve been formally diagnosed with bilateral carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, with multiple documents supporting it. After waiting a month for this appointment and making sure they had all the appropriate records, they acted like they had no idea about my diagnoses and assumed I was only there for general wrist pain. The doctor didn’t even come into the room to speak with me or explain anything about my condition or treatment plan. No communication, no bedside manner, and zero effort to address the issues I’m dealing with. I will NEVER use this physician again, even considering a new hospital due to the lack of c
