A professional, well run facility whose staff is both wonderful to work with and whose treatment of the patients is a joy to see. From coordinating with the Admissions office (Caitlin), who gave a detailed explanation and tour of the facility, to the many Nurses, Therapists and Cooking Staff who are absolute Angels in their dedication and devotion to their work, I am quite pleased with Spruce Manor and definitely recommend this facility without any reservation. Thank you much for everything!

My father in law spent approximately 8 weeks at Spruce Manor on the short term rehab unit. I cannot begin to express the comfort and wonderful communication that we all received. We were met in the unit by smiling staff that welcomed us and took us to his room. The staff member explained each step to us and helped get him settled, even introducing us to other staff on the unit. We were given a list of phone numbers to call with any concerns. Meal times and menu options were explained. Therapy staff even came in the same day to get dad settled into the right sized wheelchair and explain who his therapy team would be and when they would be in to see him. Dad progressed to the point that he was able to return home. Each step of the was was amazing, from admissions, nursing staff, di

Do NOT send your loved ones to Spruce Manor. My mother-in-law was there for several weeks and the lack of care, compassion, and professionalism was alarming. When she rang for help to use the bathroom, she was either made to wait for hours or told, “That’s what you have a diaper on for.” That kind of response is inhumane and completely unacceptable. We were there to witness this first hand. Basic hygiene was ignored — staff reached into ice containers without gloves when refilling water for residents. But the most appalling issue was the abuse she suffered at the hands of a nurse. On two separate occasions, while helping her to the bathroom, this nurse kicked the back of her knees and told her to “move faster.” That is abuse, plain and simple. When my husband reported this to a manager

Do not take loved ones here to the first floor. Initial reaction was the sites and smells will floor you, not to mention hard rock playing in the hallways. The food is skeptical at best, and the nurses deliver the trays. Ice chips are given from a single cooler that is administered 1 cup per day without gloves. The rooms are very small and there is zero airflow. Upon arrival there was no introduction and always a question as to who was in charge. Talk to management and get a different answer than what happens after 4pm. Only after complaining about multiple issues did I see some change which I commend management for. The front desk personnel were very pleasant and the most knowledgeable, but after you enter the double doors it was someday like a free for all. No knowledge of what

This is the broken bed they had my grandmother sleeping in until her therapist got on them about changing it! The hallways smell like urine and the staff is rude and looks confused most of the time.. I got my grandmother right out of this place. It’s not safe for these elderly people and if you love your loved ones keep them away from here. I couldn’t sleep, worrying about my grandmother while she was in here.
