Southtowns Radiology

My husband and I travelled here from Canada to have a biopsy that he would have had to wait months to have at our local hospital. From the initial point of contact to the procedure to the time to get results, the service was incredible. They walked us through all the documentation they needed and what the procedure looked like. The Radiologist, Nurse and Technologist took the time to answer my husband’s questions and frankly went above and beyond in terms of patient care. We were able to get an appointment and have the results within about a two week period, which is simply unheard of in Ontario. I would absolutely recommend Southtowns.

I've always had a great experience here. I have a high deductible insurance plan and I especially appreciate that they tell me over the phone (without me having to ask) how much a procedure will cost while I'm making my appointment. For my most recent appointment, I got an additional call a few days beforehand from the billing department making sure I was made aware of the cost. I had radiology services done elsewhere earlier in the year and they were not upfront about their costs. Even when I asked, they said they "didn't think" there'd be a charge, then I was hit with a $200 bill. I learned my lesson and will always ask my doctor for scripts so I can go to Southtowns where they give you all the information you need ahead of time.

When I call to schedule an appointment I would at least like to know where I stand in the queue. It just goes straight to music with no recording of any kind. I don't know if they're at lunch or on a call taking care of someone else. Am I 2nd in line or 10th? Is my wait 2 minutes or 15? Just straight to music no info. I should be able to decide if i want to wait or try back. I'll go somewhere else

After calling twice and being on hold for 15+ minutes with music and no wait time, then hung up on both times, pretty sure they don’t care so I will go elsewhere. Whoever works in their scheduling department needs a refresher course on how to answer a phone.
