Southpoint Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

I transferred here from a hospital in Peoria for 6 weeks of IV antibiotic treatment due to a heart infection. When I arrived none of my medication was available. Of the 5 days I was there I received my antibiotic treatment two of those days. There were multiple times on multiple days that I laid in my own urine for multiple hours I started timing the response time for my call light average response time was 2 and a half hours I sat on my bed and he yelled for help for an hour before someone walked into my room and yelled at me for yelling. I tried to call an ambulance on two different occasions and the nursing home informed me that I was not allowed to go to the emergency room that they were in charge and I was not the third time that I caught in an ambulance the nursing home permitted me

Hi my name is Brian Patterson I'm a resident at South point I have 3 stage 4 bedsores for 9 years I've been trying to get them healed some doctors say they could heal them some doctors say they can only keep them clean cuz the edges were rolled I been at South point 2 months and my wounds look so much better they filling in and everything I just wanna thank brandy first and foremost but I have to also thank the wound doctor and Ms Connie for doing that part so it u have wounds this is the place for u mine showed no progress for years until I came to South point

I went to see my friend there yesterday and was shocked to see how filthy this place is. The third floor is in shambles. His room is filthy. You can write your name in the dust on the furniture. His clothes were1 on the floor by the wall, and he has not been out of the bed for days, and he now has bed sores on his back. His family has basically abandoned him, so he is basically helpless. He barely eats because the food is for pigs. If she can't get to the dining room, he can't even get that. These people should be ashamed of themselves.

I’ve never considered putting my father into a nursing home, but some of his needs were out of my ability to provide. Called around and landed on this spot and it took me by surprise how knowledgeable and caring they were. I decided to try it out and so far not only has my dad been taken care of, but he jokes and plays with the staff like they are his own. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Nasty dirty its filthy in this place I would've send an animal here my cousin (A cancer patient)room was dirty his food tray was packed with old cups and food i cleaned his room for him his nurse wasn't checking on him they was giving him cold food so I took a microwave to him and they wouldn't let him keep it talking about it was against their policy but wouldn't let me see the policy PLEASE DONT SEND YOUR LOVE ONE HERE
