I recently called Southern Smiles to ask about scheduling an appointment for my daughter and to see if they were accepting new patients. While the office does accept patients within my child’s age range, the phone interaction itself was disappointing. I had explained that we recently moved back to the area and that I did not remember previously bringing my children there when they were much younger. Although the receptionist confirmed my children were in the system, the conversation felt dismissive rather than helpful. What was most concerning was that the call was not properly disconnected, and I overheard the receptionist speaking negatively about my questions to another staff member. I was perplexed when I saw some of these reviews on here because my three children have been coming here for years and we have NEVER had a less than perfect experience. The wait times after checking in are reasonable. The staff is always polite with bubbly personalities. My kids enjoy going here and they're always comfortable and worry-free while getting onto the chair.

If you get through to the office and get in touch with anyone the office staff is friendly and in person. However it is extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone any day of the week at any time of day. I understand as one of the few dentist around that accept Medicaid they probably have bitten off more than they can chew by being in the network. Need to hire more staff or unenroll from it.

Very rude. So rude I would have left if my son didn’t need a cleaning and it wouldn’t take forever to find another office. I’m sitting in the lobby with my son I’ll try to get the names of the staff with the bad attitude and the other one with disgusting body language (even as far as closing the window aggressively). If you rather exceptional service over convenience find somewhere else.

Took my kids off and on for years, was left 1 message that they needed to reschedule. Service was not good with my phone, and by the time I had better service they where already closed. No voicemail stating when the reschedule was. Took kids for cleaning just to be told that the Dentist was not in. I refused a reschedule. I do NOT recommend them.
