I cannot recommend Dr. G and her team highly enough. They have been caring for our dog, Oliver, for many years, patiently helping manage his allergies, ear infections, surgeries and overall health. We always joked that Oliver was allergic to life and needed a punch card to the vet because he was there so often. We never had any problems getting appointments, even when needed in last minute situations. Dr. G truly knew Oliver as an individual and always provided thoughtful and thorough care. Recently, we faced the heartbreaking and unimaginable time of having to say goodbye to Oliver. In that time of deep sorrow, the compassion shown by Dr. G offered us comfort that we will never forget. I debated on this review for a long time - I no longer go to this vet clinic, but when I did, I felt like I was shuffled in and out as fast as possible and when I took my dog in for his initial I didn’t really feel like I was being heard. When my dog had an urgent issue and I called, they said they could schedule me for an appointment in two weeks. I don’t say this to bash a business, but moreso to inform others to remain vigilant when evaluating this practice for their furry friend.

I do not write reviews often, but i absolutely give credit and recognition where credit is due. I would give a 10/10 if I could. Dr. G and her team at South Tampa Veterinary Care are truly the best!! I first went to STVC about two years ago with my sister’s dog when things were not looking good. Dr. G was thorough, attentive, understanding, realistic, and incredibly patient with all of our questions and concerns. She took exceptional care of him and allowed us to do everything we possibly could. Although he did not make it, we were grateful for the compassion and dignity she showed every step of the way. I need to leave a quick review. This vet has saved me and my dog in so many ways. I’ve had animals for many years and have lived in several locations, which has meant seeing many different veterinarians. Hands down, this is the most caring, compassionate, supportive, and accommodating vet I have ever worked with. I know there are some reviews that say otherwise, but I can confidently say this practice truly cares about animals first and foremost. They do everything they can within legal limits to help every animal they treat. While some people may be frustrated when a vet cannot meet every request, this team always does their best.

We came to STVC for exams for international travel for our cats. I contacted the staff weeks in advance and they were very helpful in answering all my questions..the day of the exam we arrived a few minutes early and the exam room was ready. The staff were super friendly, professional, and kind. Our experience was top notch and they handled our two cats with care and love. The veterinarian answered all of our questions and didn't rush the appointment. Highly recommend them if you're taking your pets for internatiinal travel and need a great vet to do the paperwork and exam for you.
