I visited South Miami Hospital’s Emergency Room on January 11, 2026 for chest pain and was treated in their heart attack center. Nurse Elizabeth “Ely” Guerra made an incredibly stressful situation feel calm and manageable. Ely was professional, compassionate, and consistently kind. She explained everything clearly, stayed patient even during tense moments, and always had a reassuring smile. She shared that she has experienced both sides of care as a nurse and as a patient, and that empathy truly shows in how she treats people. When I asked how she stays so positive in such a demanding environment, her answer was simple. She loves what she does. That genuine passion made a real difference in my experience. Honest question: how can 1 night hospital bill be $21,000.00 and more? For an x-ray and blood test? This is a normalized robbery. You are utilizing people’s health to profit. This is an open scam/fraud. You should be embarrassed. Your lousy services should not command such absurd prices. Absolutely unacceptable.

I just wanted to say thank you to Natalia Acosta for taking great care of my father in triage. He’s a very demanding, person and she was able to set him at ease!!

Hubby has nice small clean private room & is well cared for by the nurses.
