I cannot say enough good things about the facility or the people here. We are visiting family from out of state and my son started getting sick. All the urgent care centres either didn't take our insurance, or had REALLY long wait times. South Lake got us right in and seen by an NP almost immediately! Everyone was very patient and kind. I would feel 100% comfortable coming back for any reason. The facility looked like it was just a few years old when in fact it's been 6years! The lady who checked us in said they take great pride in maintaining it for longevity, and for their patients. It really didn't look like a hospital until we went to the ER.

I came here for bronchitis (as told by my physician). I went in and when I was seen the doctor did no testing and prescribed me a steroid. The steroid was so strong it would work for 36-72 hours. After getting the medicine I was discharged. A few hours later I came back because I could’ve feel any of my limbs. It was a reaction to the medication. I waited a while before being seen but when I finally did they ran all these tests on me to check my heart and enzyme levels to make sure the steroid wasn’t damaging my muscle tissue. Resulting in permit damage possibly. Everyone was helpful but we put so much trust in doctors and sometimes they don’t even think twice before doing something. Now I need to pay two hospital visits even though I HAD to come back back because of a medicine they gave m

Worst hospital ever. My husband is recovering from heart failure and they wouldn't let him take his medicine even though his cardiologist said he couldn't miss a dose. They even told us they didnt have the medicine there so they couldnt dispense it to us or order it. They kept us waiting forever with no food and no one to check his vitals. We went in because he was having a problem with his heart. The seriousness of the situation escaped them because they weren't urgent. The sister hospital in Clermont is amazing. If you have a problem go there first because otherwise no one will help you here.

————-***** DO NOT GO THERE *****————— I went to the ER last night with a broken hand, and I was in excruciating pain. There was no one in the lobby no other patient waiting, or anything whatsoever after the person in the front checked me in with, of course a huge attitude like I owe her something and I shouldn’t be there and she was annoyed after waiting about 30 minutes I asked her ma’am I’m in excruciating pain. Do you know how long it will take she replied oh I don’t know it’s up to the doctor and and please have a sit. She did not wanna be there and I was the only person in the lobby I don’t know what she was doing on her phone or on the computer but definitely not her job that’s for sure. Usually I will take my kids whenever they gets sick or if it’s an emergency to this hospital but

It’s sad that I go in for treatment. They tell me what I need to cure my health issue. And in less than a week or two went back because it was never cured. Both visits are now being billed. The meds one bill, the ultrasound a separate bill, the hospital a separate bill and the doctor a whole separate bill. Applied for financial assistance, and the company they have to “help” never returned my calls. When I call, no one knows who this financial assistance company is. Of course, I’m screwed with all these medical bills. Sad but true. It’s extremely frustrating not able to reach or get a hold of someone to help. 2 of those bills now have hit my credit, and I’m still waiting for a call back.
