Overdue review. Came to this place due to the great reviews a few months ago, however the treatment of my mother was horrible. She came in for hearing aids to help with tinnitus. Before having the audiometric screening, the audiologist asked my mother why she was there, and proceeded by informing my mother nothing will help her tinnitus. Audiologist stated that doctors always send patients over, with the hopes that a hearing aid will stop tinnitus and it does not. Made my mother cry, and feel emotionally down. I contact their headquarters to report the situation, and I hope it was dealt with. I ended up getting my mother hearing aids at Costco and they have worked wonders, and was treated with care. Due to my canter treatment I lost 50% of my hearing, I was tested for my hearing loss at LAC medical center and was sent to Sonus hearing care to get my hearing aid. The clinic manager Evelyn Yoc greeted me friendly and explained everything to me and she was able to get the hearing aid through the medical with no charge. It made me so happy since I am a singe mother. I got my hearing aid and used them but I was not happy with my left ear. I went back to the clinic and Evelyn was surprised and she suggested that I should do a test screening at her clinic just to make sure the result I gave her was correct, before she send the hearing aid for repair. The result I got was different from what I had before, I had major hearing loss in my left ear and that was why I wasn't able to hear clearly.

After determining that my hearing loss could be corrected by hearing aids, the staff at Sonus Santa Clarita did a great job walking me through the process of obtaining the right equipment for my situation. They were professional and took great care to explain the options and provide what I needed. They have helped me with any questions and adjusted my equipment to work for me. After struggling to hear and understand conversations for so long, their help has been nothing short of life changing. My hearing has been improved dramatically and I can enjoy music again. I posted a 5-Star review for Sonus 8 years ago, but I came back to change my review. I was referred to Sonus due to hearing loss in my 30s, and after my appointment I was told 1) I have Otosclerosis which is genetic, 2) there was unfortunately nothing that could be done for me except 3) buy $6k hearing aids. Otosclerosis is genetic. My mother had it. I have it. Now my daughter has it. But here's the reason I changed my rating. When my daughter was diagnosed, she was given hearing aids UNTIL she could be confirmed for a surgery to quite possibly reverse the hearing loss. A surgery that has existed for decades. DECADES.
