Solaris Healthcare Lake Zephyr

To begin with i read the reviews b4 my mom got there. I was concerned.My mother has been there for some days now. I got to visit for the 1st time this week. The front clerk was perfectly helpful & welcoming. As I made my way towards the back I pass an area filled with elderly people having a good time. The sound of enjoyment. Going forward I pass nurses on their phones, or talking 2 each other(not work related) the stinch in the air, the sound & feeling of dread. . not 1 staff member looked up from their phones or greeted me nor other people that were their visiting as well. The transformation from the front into the back is Unsettling. I got to my mom. Visited for awhile. Food is tasteless my mom said. Pushed the call bell 4 xs it had to have been 20mins. No one came! Visited our friend today. Staff was welcoming and it was easy to check in and find the room , with instructions from the front desk. Our friend was in the common area near her room. We had a nice visit. Area was clean and orderly. It was nice seeing all the decorations for Christmas this early in the holiday season. Nice to see the area was secure. Staff was also very nice.

My wife is getting rehab after falling. I was present while she was getting physical therapy.The care and motivation was outstanding, I was concerned she would not get better until I saw how they cared and motivated her(and me). I went from fear and hopelessness to joy and confidence that she will get better and return home to me.

Ever since they changed ownership in the past three years it has gone down. My grandma called me upset that it was 11 a.m. upset saying nobody came to change her and she was still in bed. This occurred more than once. This is just pure laziness. You have some great nurses but be careful because you have some that are lazy. Not impressed and not sending my grandma here again.

Diane at the front desk was very helpful in getting us signed in as well as being genuinely interested in how our friend, Kim, was doing and made us feel very welcomed and it was obvious she took a sincere interest in who was visiting. Also, Latoya and Chris are amazing at their jobs!! I am glad they are watching over Kim. We can all sleep better because of the both. I appreciate Chris answering the phone after hours and helping Kim with her needs along with all the other patients. Chris, Latoya, and Diane deserve much praise for their constant care for the patients as well as us visitors. A++
