Solaris Healthcare East Orlando

They provided excellent care for my wife. The staff is friendly and competent. The physical and occupational therapy personell is excellent. However, my wife had problems with some CNAs. Some are rude, response time for a diaper change can be slow. Additionally, a request for a bed rail was made on the first day (paper signed) and because of a complain on a CNA, the nurse manager finally had it installed. It took 17 days. Update (02/01/2026) - The issue with the CNAs has been resolved to our satisfaction. The action taken by Solaris is a reflection of there high standards. 100% unprofessional attitude from the nurses. How dare you say you’re inconvenienced when your entire purpose here is to make sure the patients get the care they need. On top of that, hot-air outtake for the portable AC unit used in the room was disconnected, making the room hotter than an oven. If we hadn’t come in to check, it could’ve been disastrous. Do not go here.

Visiting our friend and was very impressed with the young lady that brought in dinner and came back for the tray. She was very pleasant and kind. Do have a concern that her bed is not working properly. Couple people tried to make it work properly but no luck. Hopefully she gets a different bed or it gets fixed.

2/2/2026 Can’t thank Nurse Kathy enough. She not only goes above and beyond taking care of my mother. But no matter how busy she is. She always ask how I’m holding up. Solaris is so lucky to have an employee that cares as much as she cares. I cannot thank her enough. People always have time to tell you when things are not going well. I talked to Sharon in admissions loved her so I pick this SNF. The nurses were kind & caring. Especially Mai & Athena are excellent nurses. CNA Vivian was always making sure my sister was clean & had her clothes changed daily! Special mention Annette (Risk Management) was alway there for any questions or concerns we had too. Sister had PT 2X a day to get stronger asap. I went daily and it was no problem to get in just ring the doorbell & buzz you in! Keep dementia patients from wandering off. Food was good 3 meals a day. Even had another sibling needed to go so had the right place already picked! Thankful my family could go here & get better. Hopefully no more admissions but if we do it’s Solaris on Chickasaw!
