Socorro General Hospital

I went to the ER late one night. They were quick to recieve me and place me in a bed. The whole building was clean, staff were friendly and productive. EKG was quick and they were quick to do an IV and start testing blood. Everyone was extremely nice and understanding and wasn't trying to rush me to get something done. Insurance was dealt with after I had started getting treated, so I wasn't held back. Only complaint is that I was given potassium chloride to raise my potassium levels. Unkown to me at the time, this is essentially a days long laxative. Maybe inform patients a little more about side effects. Overall great experience.

The ER visits overall were good, The Doctors I seen were very good! I give them a thumbs up. The reason I gave a one star is my experience with nurses and billing manager or billing person. I am in ER deathly ill, the billing person walks in and says you 10,000, while I was deathly ill!!! I said what? They had my insurance and I was never sent a bill! Really unacceptable! Second time, I laid there no one hooked my IV up so I am paying for an alIV I never got, even though the nurse was told by me please hook it up as I was very hydrated. Try to visit a nother hospital if possible Miserable and I competent!

Wow! I had the sweetest, and most knowledgeable day shift professionals a patient could have asked for! (I also slept very well at night. As early as possible…🫤). What a healing and compassionate daily atmosphere. One of the nurses pointed out a hummingbird nest which I thoroughly enjoyed watching. I appreciate each of you and hope I hear about a Daisy Award recipient!!! 🌻

I am with the NSCFD as a volunteer firefighter and I have had to come to this hospital many times over many different reason. I also have seizures and I have had to come to this hospital for help on that also. I have a long list from stitches to an allergy to a new seizure medicine I was put on. Great Doctors and awesome nurses there and everything is clean. Albuquerque emergency is off my list for places to go now that I have found Socorro General Hospital. Thank you again for taking great care of me when I have needed you. 👍🙂

Horrible hospital that will make you pay for an airlift to an actual hospital in Albuquerque. They also employ the worst contractors I've ever seen. Avoid if possible!
