SoCal Gastroenterology

Dr. Thai-Van Nguyen has been my gastroenterologist for my two last colonoscopies and I had no problems in either situation. She is very thorough and courteous. She performs her job well. When I needed an endoscopy, Dr. Nguyen wasn't available but Dr. Chen was. I was extremely stressed pending the outcome but it was an overall nice experience. From my experience, both physicians are experts in their field and provide good care.

If I could do it all over again I would RUN. This experience with this office has been a nightmare. My medical information in records is a complete mess for something so serious, half of it is wrong. They did surgery and it was horrible, totally incompetent. Doctor in front of me spoke disrespectfully of patient who called in scared because bleeding after procedure. Couldn't get my info straight for surgery, very scary experience. I know there aren't a lot of specialists, but I would NOT recommend this doctor at all costs NO.

We have just started with this group and my husband and myself were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the professionalism and courtesy from the moment of the courteous check-in to our departure. We both had our consultation appts with Alfred, their PA, who was very kind and knowledgeable as to our medical concerns and answered our questions that made us feel very comfortable. Nurse Gabby was very thorough with setting up my appt for colonoscopy and instructions to the point, also labs and orders for testing for my husband. We would certainly recommend this practice for anyone in search of a Gastroenterologist group in the future. I was impressed how they send a reminder notification way in advance for each appt so you can verify an appt if you happen to see one on your calendar and y

-soonest appointment was over 1 month away. -took the time to fill out the online check in. Scanned insurance card as requested. Receptionist told I needed a hard copy because she can’t scan it. Condescending tone. Advised I used the online check in. Insisted she needs the physical card. In the end didn’t need the card and took me anyway. -doctor ended session and said nurse would come in and discuss more details about the upcoming procedure. Nurse came in and literally handed me a card with a number and said there aren’t any appointments right now someone will call you in two weeks. If I didn’t get a call I was to call the number and follow up. Then showed me the door. Very bad experience. You all need to do better and stop treating people like numbers! You are in the business of people

The nurses and doctor during my colonoscopy were great. The rest of my experience was terrible. My fiance and I scheduled our colonoscopy around the same time. We both had an appointment with a doctor over zoom. He asked basic questions and if we had any issues. I told him I have acid reflux once in awhile. He offered to schedule an endoscopy at the same time as my colonoscopy. I declined and just wanted to keep my original appointment. My experience on the day of my colonoscopy was great. Checked in and got prepped pretty quick. It was over sooner than I thought. When we got our bills, I was shocked. I was charged over $100 for my procedure and my fiance was charged nothing. Mind you our appointments were made at the same time, for the same procedure. When we called to ask why I was charg
