Be ready to stand in line at least 30 minutes but up to an hour. Last trip in the pharmacy messed up my prescription by tripling the amount of a controlled substance but rather than explain to me what the issue is the cashier walked off without explaining or asking me to hold on, leaving me alone with 10+ people in line behind me. I was clueless as to why I was left alone at the counter. Sadly this is the only local pharmacy which is the reason I see they have the customer base that they do. I hope to see another option in Dayton someday. Please, do better.
Worst pharmacy ever. If I could give it negative stars I would. I literally had to play phone tag with this pharmacy to get anywhere. The person who answered the phone kept me on hold more than once for 20 minutes straight and then hung up. I did this a 4x in one day. I had to go to the original the original pharmacy that it got sent to get the transfer information and printed proof that they sent it at 10:00 am and physically show the pharmacy tech that it was indeed at their store. Save your money & time and go elsewhere. You have better luck there.
Been to a lot of crappy pharmacies and this one takes the cake. I can deal with a long wait to get a prescription filled. But the wrong directions were put on the bottle causing me to take a medication incorrectly which came with side effects that almost put me in the hospital and caused me extreme emotional distress. Avoid this place like your life depends on it.
So first the staff at smiths pharmacy in Dayton has ALWAYS been professional and kind, though they seems to be losing that completely, being short. Though today when trying to call in for a post-surgical prescription that was supposed to be filled yesterday for my mother. Who ever OPENED ON 11/07/25 Kept putting the call on hold for numerous cycles and then hanging up, after having me wait for 20+ minutes at a time, without answering or acknowledging or saying ANYTHING. I absolutely get that they are busy, I put majority of responsibility on MANAGEMENT for understaffing for years this particular pharmacy. But, who ever OPENED on this day and decided they just were not going to answer the phone, and put people on hold endlessly, then hang up. Is unprofessional, to the core and needs to be r
Staff usually are friendly, though a little short with people. Biggest frustration comes from submitting a refill, getting an ETA on when it'd be ready, and then not hearing anything unless you physically go to the pharmacy to ask about the status of the Rx, then suddenly it'll be "ready in an hour" after a day or two of its initial ETA.
