SMH Urgent Care Center at University Parkway

I was so happy that I was able to have the availability of the urgent care center since I could not reach my doctor for immediate care and I didn’t feel I should go to the emergency room. I received excellent pair, very equipped and prompt with a being taken care of like within 20 minutes and there is rather Swift and wealth performed. The only exception being the staff at the guest for registration. She was very efficient and did her job well but her attitude was one of one word answers and no conversation no smiling and that was the first time I had encountered that in a SMH facility perhaps she was just having a bad day thank you very much.

Went in on a Friday afternoon with symptoms of a cold and waited 15 minutes. Saw a Dr. right after going over vitals with a nurse. Checked me over, prescribed medication and was out in less than 30 minutes. Front end ladies were very helpful and professional. Would recommend it to anyone.

Even though the office was very busy with people seeking care, there was a very organized process in place to serve people in the order they arrived. So, while there was a wait to be served, we were all attended to as quickly as possible. Once i was called to see the medical staff I was attended to promptly.

We were seen promptly with what I would consider minimal wait for a busy center. Intake and nursing staff were courteous and efficient. The man who prescribed treatment with "good news and bad news" never identified himself by name or title. It would have been nice to know who was treating us.

Clean facility and seem to ran fairly well. I did the “Save My Spot” option, still had to wait 1-1/2 hr but I think they were short a doctor or two. There were a constant 3-4 people in the waiting room, and the girl behind the check-in desk seemed to had things under control. I would recommend this facility.
