Simpson County Rubbish Facility

Hmmm....not easy to navigate the mud and obstacles. But, it's a dump after all, right?

I’m sitting outside the locked gate at 1:15pm with the sign clearly stating that hours today are 8-5pm. I drove about an hour to get here. You can’t call them… can’t leave a message…. I’m new here but already hate the idea of ever coming back here. I guessing they would be happy about that

Took us 45 minutes to get here. Sign clearly posted “Sat 8am-12noon”. Arrives at 10:0. Gates are locked. No one there.

Even if you don’t see anyone present, stop at the shed so someone can check out your load of trash. You’ll get chastised otherwise despite the fact that there is no indication to do that anywhere. They want metal and plastic sorted into different bins. We paid $25 dollars for a 12 foot trailer load. I’m not sure if that price varies. They take cash and check only. I hope this helps someone because the phone number they have listed doesn’t work, and the staff is less than friendly.
