I was recently admitted to this hospital for 3 days. My overall experience was fantastic! I am very overweight and had hurt my leg so I was not able to walk. The hospital staff treated me wonderfully, not at all like a burden. They had all kinds of accommodations to make me comfortable during my stay. The doctors and nurses were amazing and treated me like I truly mattered. I’m glad I’m a Sharp patient!!

As the frequent flyer of ER in my relationship...I am familiar with where to not go. So when partner got a sudden mysterious illness-I sent him here. He's still there. He has been for 2 weeks and today was surgery. I'm writing this on his account because I can't figure out the technology in our house without him. He is my beloved, my world-- which recently got completely turned upside down. Grossmont, Hillcrest-- they've put me in corridors and basements. This Sharp-- downside is the wait, but the wait is for great personalized care in your own solo room! I sat with my husband everyday from open to close visiting hours. We laughed, I cried, but we endured the lengthy 2 week stint void of agony. There were all-star highlights in each location The nurses of the 7th floor- Thank you! My boo d

My wife went to the ER yesterday around 2 PM for severe back pain. She sat in the waiting room for about two hours before being taken back. When the doctor finally saw her, he immediately started acting rude and dismissive. He asked what medications she takes, which she answered, then asked if she does drugs — fine, that’s a normal ER question. But then he followed it with, “Do you buy drugs off the street?” which made no sense and felt like he was accusing her of being a drug seeker just because she’s 23. It got worse. He asked if she’s ever had surgery, and when she told him about her spine surgery, he was rude and basically told her she was “too young” to be in pain. He even told her she doesn’t depend on her walker — which is completely untrue, she absolutely does because of her spine

I would absolutely not recommend this hospital to anyone. My friends and I arrived around 2am because my friend was severely intoxicated. She was unconscious, foaming at the mouth, and vomiting blood. Despite this, we were left in the waiting room for over an hour before a doctor even acknowledged her condition. During that time, she continued to vomit blood on herself with zero medical attention. When she was finally taken back, the only “care” provided was a bottle of water. We were then placed on a bed in the hallway for more than two additional hours, again with no treatment. After hours of being ignored, we asked if we were allowed to leave. At that point, the doctor and nurses became extremely rude, aggressive, dismissive, and unprofessional. They repeatedly refused to answer wheth

I have double pneumonia infections in both eyes infections in both ears and my sinuses are infected. It's been going on for weeks so my doctor told me he was concerned that I would end up in the morning so he told me to go to the emergency room. I made the absolute huge mistake of going to Sharp memorial emergency room. I showed up at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday. I was put into a divided room when the doctor came in and asked me why I was there I told him I have double pneumonia before I could say anything more he laughed in my face told me very condescendingly that there is no such thing as double pneumonia that that was a made-up term. Well you can Google it right now and it says double pneumonia otherwise known as bilateral pneumonia is an infection of both lungs we all know what that means.
