Shakespear Family Dentistry

This past Friday an abcessed tooth got so bad I ended up in the ER for antibiotics. Monday I called to find a dentist in network with my insurance. Im incredibly grateful I called Shakespear Family Dentistry. They offered an appointment Tuesday morning! They did a limited exam, single xray, presented options and removed the offending tooth, all in under 40 minutes. The dentist and assistant were gentle, kind, and patient. I had an excellent experience. I cant believe they were so fantastic. If you need a provider with heart and skill, this is who I recommend. Thank you for making the experience as pleasant as possible.

I have an unfortunate genetic tendency to dental problems - no matter how I take care of my teeth, I end up back at the dentist every so often. Since moving to Astoria, I’ve come to this place for cleanings, exams, fillings and other procedures, and have never had a problem. The office staff is competent and courteous, Dr. Shakespear explains options and procedures well, despite being soft spoken and clearly very busy, and overall the experience is as pleasant as dental work can be. If I had any complaint, it’s just that the hours are fairly limited, and conflict with my schedule, such that finding time to come in can be complicated. But, that’s life in a small town! Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a new dentist.
