Serene Dental Center

Staff is very nice. I have been a patient for a long time. The hygienist was a little rougher than usual and I got a sore in my mouth from the suction being placed inappropriately. Went to check out and the new insurance offered by Serene dental has doubled in costs! Since I do not have dental insurance I have been purchasing in-house. This cost is way high and I will be shopping for more affordable dental care.

The dentist was detailed and attentive, but I didn’t like the clinic. I’m looking for a new dental office in Orlando and I saw they offer a $59 new-patient package that includes an exam, cleaning, and X-ray. I want to try it first, then get insurance later to continue with other services But after taking the X-ray and having the dentist check my teeth, they did not give me the basic cleaning from the package. Instead, they said I needed a deep cleaning around $300. Basically, if you don’t agree to the deep cleaning, that $59 package only gives you the X-ray and exam. So don’t expect to actually get a cleaning—unless your teeth have no issues at all and were professionally cleaned recently.

This place is an absolute scam and should be shut down. They lure patients in with a fake Google ad offering X-rays and a cleaning for $59. Once you’re there, they trap you into an endless process of unnecessary X-rays that takes over an hour. At the end, they suddenly claim they “can’t” do a regular cleaning and insist you need a so-called deep cleaning. The price magically jumps from $59 to $506. Classic bait-and-switch. I floss daily, brush after every meal (I wear Invisalign), and get cleanings every six months. There is absolutely no justification for their diagnosis, yet they still tried to fabricate gingivitis to justify charging hundreds of dollars. I’m very disappointed with my experience at this dental office. My root canal redo process began in October, and I finally had the root canal completed in November. I was referred to a specialist, which was very expensive, and after that I still had to return to my general dentist. At no point was I properly informed that the process required a crown after the root canal. When I returned for my appointment yesterday, the dentist did not place a new crown and instead left an open, noticeable hole in my tooth that was not there before. This was extremely upsetting and concerning. I also had to reschedule my appointment twice due to the dentist having a family emergency.
