Sentara Urgent Care

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with an urgent care facility. I checked in and literally within 2 mins was brought back to a room. 5 mins later the PA Sam came in to treat. He was very personable and attentive. We spoke about my symptoms and treatment plan. I was very comfortable with his diagnosis and out the door I went. 30 mins top. Now I knew going in what my issues were and what to expect with treatment so I was an easy case. But thank you to the staff for being so pleasant especially to those of us who feel like crap !! Great job!!

My best comparison to this place is a grocery store or a fast food restaurant in the evening... The night crew is usually slacking, a little professional, and a lot of times it's a bunch of younger people running the place in a playful atmosphere. Not a good look for a healthcare facility at all!!! I figure the daytime crew probably saves them on some of these reviews lol. The receptionist was kind and professional... Zero issues there (the only one I saw who wasn't "younger"), but to be fair, I only spoke to her very briefly. The young black nurse with long braids was totally rude. She couldn't be bothered by us annoying "customers" making her do her job lol. Absolutely no kindness or personality whatsoever. Seriously, where do they get these people from? Good experience on a Saturday afternoon as the last customer. The wait wasn’t long. The front office worker was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The medical staff (Javier Lopez) took the time to discuss my needs and gave helpful recommendations and referrals.

Staff was very pleasant, quick, informative and fully listened to my medical history. I have no complaints at all, and would ABSOLUTELY RETURN HERE. I saw a very nice, thorough, smart and attentive PA named Samuel, he listened to my concerns and formulated his treatment accordingly. His decisions were based on my history, symptoms, test results and of course his skills, knowledge and experience. My experience exceeded my expectations, thank you :)

I walked in last night 30 mins to closing and the front desk person was rude and told me I can't be seen even though I knew exactly what my issues is and it was a quick urine test. She did not apologize and said "we can get you in tomorrow." What is the point of an urgent care if I can't be seen within the times you are open? I ended up going to NowCare on Volvo and was in and out in 25 mins.
