I can’t say enough about the incredible care my mother received at Select Specialty Hospital – West TN. After suffering an anoxic brain injury, she was admitted here, and the team played a vital role in helping her regain a better quality of life. From the very beginning, every single staff member was compassionate, professional, and attentive. The nurses, doctors, and support staff treated my mom with dignity and respect, and the therapy team were absolute rock stars. Their dedication, encouragement, and expertise made a tremendous difference in her recovery. In just two weeks, we saw remarkable progress, and it would not have been possible without the top-notch care she received here. I cannot say how thankful I am for this facility Everyone that my family and I have come into contact with have been a true blessing and we couldn’t have asked for better care for my dad. The doctors and staff have true compassion for their patients and patients family. I am grateful my dad became healthy enough to move to the next step but i wish i could just take the nurses with him.

The doctors and staff of this Select Specialty Hospital literally gave my wife back to me. Six weeks ago my wife went into respiratory failure and cardiac arrest. After two weeks at Vanderbilt ICU, attempts to take her off ventilation, and diagnosed with possible ALS, she was given a tracheotomy with a prognosis of never coming off of ventilation, unable to speak or eat and likely progressive degeneration of her conditions. She was sent to Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, TN for rehab to basically just learn how to deal with/maintain being on ventilation with limited mobility for the rest of her life. We want to THANK, Sunny Rushing, Clinical Liaison... for her hard work, guidance, skill and time... with helping us get our mother placed at Select. And we would like to THANK ...ALL THE OUTSTANDING NURSES, CNAs, phlebotomist, respiratory and physical therapists... Dr. Machra and the entire team of doctors... they ALL went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for... to help our mother's lungs and body truly HEAL, after a (3) month battle with Covid and double pneumonia. Thursday January 11th, Kinyatta had bad attitude toward my wife. My wife advised her day nurse that Kinyatta had bad attitude and act real bad service. After nurse left the room and it was few minutes later, Kinyatta came into the room and advised my wife that she lied on Kinyatta. Later in day, nurse and Kinyatta came into my wife room. Nurse told my wife that her and Kinyatta need to talk this out. This unprofessional acts on Kinyatta and day nurse.i give 2 out of 5 due to this.All other staff members are great.
