Your loved ones will die here! My husband was here for months due to insurance issues and I cannot even begin on the neglect he experienced. I will say not every single person here was bad. The receptionist the security guards and some select few nurses were kind. But there was very far and few in between!! To start off with my husband would wait sometimes 2+ hours waiting for someone to come help him. He could be choking not breathing and no one would come help. I would have to call up there to try and get him help and still half the time no one will answer the phones even if they do they still won’t send a nurse in. These people do not care! Even after me crying to the whole staff explaining my husbands story how he almost died several times after being shot in the head. He had been thro

My dad spent the last six weeks of his life at Specialty Select, and I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for the care he received. Over the course of his illnesses, he’d been in several facilities, but Specialty Select truly stood out. The level of compassion, attention, and communication we experienced here was unlike anywhere else. Kim, the CEO, and Danika, the Head Nurse Manager, went out of their way to keep me updated every single day—calling or texting when I couldn’t be there in person. That meant more than they know. When it came time to stop treatment, the staff was incredibly supportive and gave us the space and privacy we needed to help my dad transition peacefully. It’s a smaller facility, but for us, it was exactly the right place for dad. Every person we interacted w

This is what I would call a transition hospital or rehab facility. My aunt was transferred here from Emory Hospital. She was on life support and dialysis. Whenever I visited her, I never saw a nurse or doctor enter her room. The only person that I encountered was a respiratory therapist. I'm not going to say this place was bad but it wasn't great either. It was in fact a ghost town most of the time. I knew there were patients there but it seemed to me like the staff was minimal. If you ever have to be here as a patient please ask questions and also show up for your people as much as possible. The quality was lacking.

UPDATE: First and Foremost, educate yourself on your loved ones heath condition, prognosis and requirements for care; this will help in advocating for proper care. My loved one transitioned here from Grady (some of the BEST care a patient could receive). Considering the state of patients here, less than half of nurses and staff seem to have proper bedside manners and compassion when delivering care. The positive reviews here should go solely for the therapy staff (respiratory, physical, occupational, and speech). They display more compassion towards the patients AND family than most of the medical staff. Of the 3 weeks and multiple nurses we’ve had, my family and I have only been completely satisfied with a handful of nurses and the therapy team (Nurse Sha, Nadine, Catherine, CNA Megan).

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO SELECT SPECIALTY HOSPITAL My mother was admitted here in stable condition, and within just one week, her health declined so severely that we had to discharge her against medical advice (AMA) to save her life. She arrived alert and improving — we left with her unresponsive and barely clinging to life. I begged staff to transfer her when I noticed her declining, but I was told she was “stable” even though no meaningful tests were being done. Meanwhile, she was being neglected — left in soiled bedding for hours, call lights ignored, basic hygiene forgotten unless we pushed for it. We found medical devices like her suction tubing on the floor multiple times. Her room was never cleaned — not once did I see housekeeping come by. When she was moved to a different
