If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES HERE!!!! My 73 year old mom was admitted here I was under the impression this place would be great due to the fact she received great care in the ICU unit on the 4th floor I WAS WRONG! The level of care she received is UNSPEAKABLE!! The room was ALWAYS NASTY, I personally witnessed my mom sit in bowel for 45 minutes on several occasions. Also my mom had mittens on just as safety so she wouldn’t pull her trac out , one day the nurse removed them while I was there and my mom had YEAST BUILDUP simply from not being cleaned and in the mittens for long periods which makes me believe they NEVER took them off during her stay!! Also my mom had CONSTANT BUILD UP ON HER MOUTH AND TONGUE this comes from the tube feeding I later learned.

Reading the recent reviews of this horrible place triggered memories of when my mother was here 1 1/2 years ago. I see that the treatment has deteriorated even more than I thought possible. A family member was always present with my mom and even with one of us there, the care was atrocious. An example of this was one CNA working by herself for the whole weekend with 40 something beds on the unit. Of course the RNs were too busy looking at their phones to ever offer to help clean the patients. The rooms were filthy but great care was taken to cover the catheter bags when they knew they were going to be inspected. We had to beg for my mother to be turned or changed, and then it would take a couple of hours. There were a very few nice CNAs but most RNs were neglectful or had an attitude.

In my four page complaint one of my main issues of concern were sanitation. If the staff doesn’t take the time to clean behind themselves or the patient’s room how well is the patient being cared for? Proper sanitation controls the spread of infectious diseases which should be very important in a hospital setting. These photos were captured today 5/14 before I requested attention from housekeeping.

Dirty rooms. Bad smells. Entire hallways smell of waste. Nurse staff refuse to bathe and dress patients daily. Just an absolute awful place. Beds aren’t made.

Sadly, this company must have checked the right boxes, as the website indicates so much better care than provided thus far. Most of the RNs are focused on “charting” rather than checking in on patients. A family has sat with pt everyday and unless we’ve sought out any of the team members, pt not rotated every two hours per treatment plan or checked for soiled bottom. This was prior to recent DNR One RN from day one said she doesn’t go in room if not asked and looked dumbfounded when told pt unable to talk so how would she know. When equipment pings, clearly unheard or is treated like white noise to team sitting outside of room, as family member typically has to point out drop in air, feeding tube dripping on floor vs hooked up to patient, etc. Will say that weekend/on call CNAs present
