I got my first eye exam in 5 years at this office — my glasses were super old and I was long overdue for a checkup. It’s a small, but cozy office with a decent selection of frames. Dr. Phung and his staff are so knowledgeable and welcoming. I really appreciate the care and attention they put into providing the best experience for the patients. You can tell that both the staff and the doctor love their jobs immensely. The doctor provided a very thorough exam, explaining every step and concern, while the staff members worked hard to help me select some frames that suit my face shape and we were able to narrow it down to one that I really like. I really appreciated their honesty in what did and did not look good on me — some people will just tell you what you want to hear, but it was nice

⛔️⚠️⛔️ I had a very disappointing experience at Scripps Ranch Optometry. Our appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM, but we didn’t get to see the doctor at all — by 10:50AM, we were still just waiting. The office was crowded, and patients were coming in and sitting around without being seen. There was no modern technology — everything was done on paper, and the initial exam was conducted by the assistant using very outdated equipment. The doctor was nowhere to be found; it wasn’t even clear if they were in the office. I also have a knee problem and needed to sit down, but all the chairs were taken, and no one offered any help or accommodation. The lack of organization and care for patients was very frustrating. I haven't replaced my glasses in forever and they helped me pick out a frame that looked great! I went through many frames but they were still very patient and willing to go through the trouble of finding the frame that fit my face perfectly. Very friendly and experienced in their field of profession :)

They got me in promptly and the staff was so friendly and helpful!! Definitely recommend coming here!! Super efficient and a great experience.
